TIBURÓN BALLENA

About

TIBURÓN BALLENA  You can only see this huge fish between the months of May to September on our Caribbean coast in Mexico, it is known that it comes to feed on phytoplankton, krill and some small crustaceans, there are specimens that can measure up to 12 meters long, and its characteristic The main thing is their white dotted lines in almost the entire body that serve as patterns to be able to identify them since they are different in each one, their behavior is very calm, they are harmless and they move very slowly but of course we must be careful when swimming with them since getting so close to its tail, which is very large, could inadvertently touch us when trying to change direction, so we must respect its space with the appropriate distance.

The boat ride starts from the pier and goes in search of whale sharks, once located the captain will stop nearby and the guide or a crew member of the boat will come in to swim with you to accompany you in the approach with our shark friends. come from the boat but you swim with them too and you are allowed to swim twice per person but always accompanied by the expert and authorized guide who will tell you the rules to be able to carry out this beautiful activity.

To finish enjoying this magnificent day, we will visit North Beach of Isla Mujeres where we will swim in very crystal clear waters of little depth and without waves, a perfect place to take pictures, here we will eat something light while we swim.
