Tulum Cenotes

About

Half day excursion; visit the beautiful archaeological site of Tulum and then go swimming in the beautiful crystal clear waters of a cenote (pools or natural pools, created by the largest underground river system on the planet), there are several ways but the one we will visit is within a cave in which you can explore and admire its limestone rock formations of millions of years while you are swimming in shallow waters, all in the company of an expert guide who will tell you the history of its formation, did you know that they have been found in the area skeletons of prehistoric animals, such as sloths, mammoths, saber-toothed tigers and also human skeletons that are dated up to 12 thousand years old, wow incredible right?

Itinerary
  • Departure approx between 8 and 9 am from the Mayan Riviera to arrive at approx 9:30 a.m. to Tulum, there you visit the archaeological site for an hour and a half accompanied by a certified guide who will explain the history of the site.
  • 11:00 boarding to go to the cenote (here you will be given a light box lunch to gain energy for swimming).
  • 11:30 arriving approx at the cenote, there an hour and a half will be enough to prepare, swim inside the cenote and take pictures (you can only take underwater cameras).
  • 1:00 p.m. boarding of the transport to return to the hotel.
